Events

Becoming a member of a local church is a privilege and gift. Jesus bought the church with His own blood (Acts 20:28), and so it holds an intimately close place to the Savior’s heart. Consequently, careful consideration should be taken when joining a church body.

This 2-part class held on Sept. 12th and Sept. 19th will cover what we believe and what we do. It is designed for that serious consideration of what membership means for you and your family at Three Rivers!

We are not meant to walk through life alone. We were designed to pursue a relationship with Christ together in community. 242 Groups are the place to: • apply God’s Word • build lasting friendships • care for each other • pray together • share stories of God’s faithfulness • spur one another on to love and good works

Our hope is that you find connections and join in growing together!

Join us for an evening of worship, stories and workshops! Ladies gather here at the church for a time of worship and stories and then break into workshops that may be Hands On or Hearts On.

There’s a variety of options from which you can choose and these workshops differ each time we gather! The event is open to women ages 7th grade - adult, and so check out the workshops below and register today!

Individuals (70+ years of age) from within our TRB body and the community are invited to a free luncheon on Saturday, September 26th! The luncheon will consist of baked ham, mac-n-cheese, vegetables, and dessert. Space is limited, so register today! The deadline for registration is Wednesday, Sept. 23rd.

**If you are interested in VOLUNTEERING OR SERVING, there are a number of opportunities available as well!

Beginning September 17th and October 6th, we are offering 2 Book Studies to women (Adult 1-5). The 2 options for study are:

• Precept Study of Malachi: Revering the Lord, Standing in Awe of His Name (4 weeks) or the devotional book by Esther Liu, Shame - Being Known and Loved (6 weeks). 

There are 3 study groups in total:

1. Group 1- Malachi Precept Study led by Dianne Jackson. The Study will meet every other week at TRB on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 AM. The study begins on Oct. 6th.
2. Group 2- Malachi Precept Study led by Annette Griffin. The Study will meet every other week at TRB on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM. The study begins on Oct. 15th, and then meets on 10/29, 11/5, and 11/19.
3. Group 3- Shame Devotional Study led by Jean McKay. The study will meet every other week on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM. The study will begin on Sept. 17th.

Childcare is not available during this study.

Join us for a fun, spiritually engaging weekend in the mountains of North Carolina near Brevard!

We will meet at TRB at 4 PM on Friday, Oct. 23rd, and we will return on Sunday, typically around 4:30 or 5 PM. Please bring money for 2 meal stops, one on the way to and one on the way back from camp.

All other meals for the weekend are provided. If your youth has particular dietary needs, please inform us ahead of time. We can share the menu plans with you and you can send food with your youth to supplement as needed. Let us know if you need to store any food in the refrigerator as we have limited space.
